We have been learning about  the different ways people celebrate Christmas around the world. We decided to make a Venn diagram to show things that are the same and different in New Zealand and Sweden. When things are the same, you can compare them. When things are different, you contrast them. I hope you like my diagram.

Graduation dinner.

Kia ora.  Two nights ago all of the year 6's had a Graduation dinner. We got a taonga necklace and a year book. I was only allowed to take two people with me but I only took my mum. Here is a pic of me at Graduation.

Environmental problems Rubbish is really bad for the plant it kills animals pollute the water and kills sea animals. If you look on the news you will see turtles eating rubbish here are my three reason. Fistly: relating to the natural world and the impact of human activity on its condition.aiming or designed to promote the protection of the natural world.relating to or arising from a person's surroundings. 2: We should  be picking up rubbish and putting in the bin not just leaving it to float around and killing animals that are eating the rubbish.if we leave rubbish around animals will eat it and then the animals will die and some might fall in to a river and poltet that river and that river will probably lead to the sea and then the ocean will get plotted. 3: We should be make in rubbish thats disprove into ground because then when people drop they rubbish it will disprove into the ground and it have no effect on animals and sea animals and the Environment  because it will be in the ground. 4:if we don’t do anything about it all of NZ will be plotted with rubbish.Then we will have know animals to eat because they will all have rubbish in they system .and we would not be able to go hunting because  river would be plotted and deer and pigs would have to drink that water that's polluted

For the last few weeks we have been doing a story that we had to make up.My story is about two men who got lost in the bush.

• Bam!  Bam! Guns were going off everywhere! Mosese, my best buddy, and I ran off into the forest to hide.  We knew if we wanted to survive we had to find shelter and quickly because we could see a big storm coming.

• One hour later, the storm had arrived and we still had no shelter. We kept on walking. Then, we came to a clearing in the forest and saw a campervan.  Then we saw a bush moving and a man jumped out of it. He said, “ My name is Psycho Kayne. This is my place! What are you doing here? Ya better not think you are going to mess with me!”

• “Calm down, Bro!” Mosese said. “We are only here ‘cos we ran away from some gunshots and now we are lost.”

So, the old guy invited us inside his campervan and let us share a tasty rabbit he had just cooked and said we could stay the night. He had been living in the campervan for about 20 years.  He made blankets out sheepskin and he had a pet

• Cape buffalo called Alex. It was scrawny, just like my friend Alex.

Around about  9.30 that night Mosese was outside having a ciggie when he heard a crack. “ Who’s out there? Please don’t kill me! “ he said. Then a fat dog came out of the trees and Mosese saw a name tag on her. Her name was Bees. Mosese gave her a feed of wild pig and he went back to bed.

The next day,  another man came out of the bush. His name was Enzo and he said that he was looking for a dog called Bees. Mosese said, “No, it is my dog now!”  He went into the campervan and grabbed a shotgun.

Meanwhile, Kanye and I were out in the bush hunting for some food and then we heard a gunshot. We ran to the campervan and saw Mosese digging a hole beside a dead body. Kayne said, “Wait, don’t bury that man. We can use him to feed the dog and for tuna bait.”

That night, we heard sirens and saw police coming through the forest. I said, “We can not run. They will find us.  What do we do, Kayne?”

The old guy said, “Take the keys to my truck, boys and boost it out of here!”

So we took off.  Mosese was driving fast in the bush then we came to the desert road and  we drove into the army training area. kanye said, “There is the army up head, Mosese. Keep on driving!”

Suddenly, the truck hit a metal post and we flipped. My gun went off accidentally and hit Kayne in the butt cheek. He was bleeding and screaming like a baby. Mosese and I put our hands up and the police swarmed over us like ants. And then.

in term 3  We will be going on a ski trip in week 5.We will be staring at Tongariro Naitional park.When we are going there we will go rock climbing trout fishing.We have being working hard to get 28,000 $$$$.We still need 8,000 in 32 days

Kia Ora my name is Reed and today we had to work in a group and learn about being safe on the internet and not safe on the internet. In my group they was Me, Alex and Enzo. We had to create a DLO to tell the difference between private and public information.

mathletics

For the last two weeks we have being doing some mathletics and I have being doing good.
I have being learning about Proper and Improper Fractions. I have been earning heaps of gold bars!

Golf

Kia ora this week we got taught how to play golf. In golf you have to get the lowest points to win.
We had to roll the ball to bullseye, which was the target. You do not have to hit the ball hard - use just say tick tock goes the clock and gently tap the ball off the tee.

Environmental writing

We are learning how to create descriptive pieces of writing  by using our senses to make close observations of our environment. We sat outside and sketched what we saw then we wrote words about what we saw. We used our words to write a poem.
