Report

We have been learning how to write animal reports. Here is one I wrote about snapper.

Snapper

A snapper is a fish and belongs to the sea bream family. People love to fish for snapper.

Snapper are reddish bones and have very few bones. They can grow to about 17kgs and 105cm. The have crushing teeth.

Snapper are carnivorous.  They eat sea worms and small crustaceans. Larger snapper eat kina, crabs and shellfish.

They live in water ranging from 5 to 50 metres in reefs and the seas around New Zealand.  They lives in schools, but the large ones normally swim alone.

Snapper are the most commercially caught type of fish.
